Is ClearWay Docs the right fit for your team?

Choose it when your main job is to keep customer instructions accurate and easy to find. You can start with a small set of help articles or bring existing documentation into a simpler publishing workflow.

It also supports support teams answering repeat questions and SaaS teams building their first help center. Paid plans add reader analytics and customer access. Scoped MCP connections and reviewed Git imports are optional ways to maintain articles.

If you need ticket routing, a shared support inbox or account-specific conversations, keep a help desk alongside your knowledge base. If you require per-customer group entitlements, SCIM or automatic two-way Git synchronization, those capabilities are not implemented in ClearWay Docs.

TEST YOUR REAL WORKFLOW

Compare knowledge base tools with one useful article.

Use the same customer task in every tool you evaluate. These checks show whether your team can maintain the answer after launch.

BEFORE YOU CHOOSE

Answers for your evaluation.

Who is ClearWay Docs knowledge base software for?
ClearWay Docs is for software teams that want to publish and maintain customer help articles. Founders, support leads, product managers and documentation owners can use the visual editor without making a coding agent part of their workflow.
Can I evaluate the software for free?
Yes. Free includes visual and Markdown editing, article imports, drafts, revision history and a searchable help center, within its team and article limits. No credit card is required. The pricing page shows current capacity and paid-plan availability.
Can I move an existing help center?
Import Markdown, HTML or normalized article JSON. Test a representative sample and inspect images, formatting, links and audience settings before moving the rest. Complex exports and attachments may need repair.
Can my customers sign in to private documentation?
Core and Pro include a customer-access connection to your app login. Customer reader access is separate from team editing access. Per-customer group entitlements and SCIM are not implemented.
Does the product require AI?
No. Writing, publishing and keyword search work without an AI key. Paid plans have optional MCP agent connections that use your own compatible agent. Reader-facing AI Answers is coming soon and is not included in a current plan.
