Contact the operator for privacy questions, access, correction, export or deletion requests. If you use another company’s help center hosted with ClearWay Docs, that company controls its published content and customer-access policy.
Browsing and optional analytics
Public pages can be read without an account. Optional marketing measurement stays off until you choose “Allow analytics.” It counts page requests and signup clicks, with limited campaign labels and a referring hostname when available. A random link identifier can connect a successful signup to its campaign and workspace. Staff can review aggregate visits, signups and currently paid workspaces.
Marketing records do not contain your IP address, email, complete referring URL or user-agent string. Do not include personal information in campaign labels. Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control override an analytics opt-in. Change your choice at any time in cookie settings; withdrawal stops future measurement and attribution, but does not remove existing aggregates.
Accounts and documentation
Creating an account stores your name, email, password hash, workspace and membership information. The app stores documentation, uploaded media, revisions, access settings, integration configuration and activity needed to provide the service. Session cookies keep you signed in; sensitive integration credentials are encrypted at rest when configured as required.
You choose which articles to publish. Public articles can be read and indexed by others; restricting an article later cannot recall copies already collected by external services. Workspace administrators control access to private content.
Payments, integrations and service providers
When online billing is configured, Stripe processes checkout and billing-portal activity. ClearWay Docs stores subscription identifiers and verified payment status; its checkout does not collect card numbers directly. Review Stripe’s privacy policy when using its services.
Connecting Git, identity providers or AI services sends the information needed for the feature to your configured provider. Optional AI Answers uses article context and reader questions. The hosting operator also controls infrastructure, backups and any operational logs, which can include request information for security and troubleshooting.
Retention and your choices
Marketing request aggregates are retained for up to 90 days. Unconverted signup identifiers are removed after 30 days. Converted attribution remains with its workspace and is removed when that workspace is deleted. The privacy preference cookie expires after 180 days.
Account content and revisions remain while the workspace is retained. Deleting a draft does not necessarily remove prior revisions or backups. Ask the operator about complete deletion, backup retention, provider locations, transfers and any legally required billing retention. These deployment-specific practices must be finalized by the operator before launch.
Rights and complaint routes depend on your location. The operator must confirm its lawful purposes, applicable rights, response process and regulator contact for the jurisdictions it serves. This notice will be updated when those details or the service’s data practices change.
